Hi, I am getting frustrated with my Monte Carlo Rochester jetting problem. It is a 1976 and I have changed it from 2 Bbl to 4Bbl. The metering rods were messed in it and the jets were missing. I had other jets lying around and so I installed them but the car bogs like crazy while in primaries and majorly in the secondaries. I pull out of the driveway and the car hesitates at about half thorottle but if you are really easy on it then it is okay. Dont even think about flooring it. I was wondering what is a good combination for Primary metering rods, Primary metering jets and secondary metering rods. It has a stock cam, shaved heads (0.060") and no egr valve. It starts like a dream but driving it makes me think it is more gutless than a 16 hp engine. I know that the mixture is too lean because if you pump the gas while you drive the engine runs a lot better. The secondaries have been set correctly with the spring pressure and i think that the secondary metering rods are ok but i still want to know what you have that works like a dream.
