1976 Chevy C10 OEM Fenders

I am curious where I might be able to find some OEM fenders for my 76 c10. I have bought some fenders from a junk yard that were new but the quality is just horrible. They do not fit like they should and a strong gust would be able to dent them. Is there anywhere else that I could get some or would going through my local chevy garage be the best bet? Also, does anyone have a guess how much good quality ones would cost?

howdy there

yeah the replacement ones are cheap chinese trash yes and thinner metal anyways, waste of money

i only ever use original parts from donor vehicles.

check www.car-part.com

its a good site and searches local yards or wherever you want for specific parts and lists them immediately and prices and phone numbers

also post and search on www.craigslist.org

also free to use

you should be able to find many locally if you try very hard at all, these trucks are dirt common and sitting almost everywhere,
leave notes on any sitting aorund obviously not being driven etc and you will probably score the whole truck for cheap like 100 bucks

happens all the time

Those are some good looking fenders. The only thing is my truck does not have any of the trim. Any idea what shipping might run? If it wasn't too awful much and you would hold on to them until June or shortly after, I would buy them from you. Could the holes for the trim be filled in with anything and look ok?

Trim holes are usually welded up then ground down, they could be fiberglassed but eventually they will show up. There has been a set of NOS GM 73-80 front fenders in the paper for a while now, but they are asking $550. I can get the number for you if you want it. You should be able to score some rustfree tin in Colorado pretty easily I would think.

$550, thats really steep... I think I have found someone who has a pair that they are willing to sell. I am just waiting on them to get me a price before i make a final decision. There is just no way that I can afford $550 any time soon... But thanks for the offer of giving me that number Chevrolet4X4s.

Yeah $550 Is steep (bordering on outrageous)but anytime you get into NOS parts the prices are sky high. My Dad bought a pair for his 80 Chevy(Trucks been gone since 2000) around 1998 I would say from DAR (If I remember correctly I was around 9 at the time) http://www.darparts.com/ but they were good quality.

Wow, thanks Shane, that is definately a site that I will hold on to. I am needing some doors as well since they are the same cheap quality as the fenders.
