1977 Corvette

I have a 1977 corvette with a telescopic tilt stearing column in it. and it is messed up and everyone tells me to rebuild it after i say i just want put a standard column back in it. Everyone asks why i would want to get rid of the telescopic and tilt but i cannot find someone who makes the 1977 corvette steering column. Can anyone please tell me where i can find someone who makes them or sells them. Id still rather put a standard back in it, less problems.

To clarify my problem with the column. the Tilt part of it is tilted to the right.. u can straighten it up by pushing down on it and straightening the whole column but it wont stay that way.. Also the bearings are starting to fall out of the column itself

The TT columns don't have any problems other than the tilt bowl bolts comming loose but they are an easy fix if you have a few special tools that will pay for themselves in fixing your coulmn.

PM me if you need someone to walk you through the fix. Mike
