1977 Corvette engine rebuild

Hi, My name is Ed. I am rebuilding a sbc 350 for a 1977 Corvette that my son bought for me. He is in the Marines and brought it home on leave recently.
I managed to blow up the motor on the first drive. I would like to have this finished before he comes home for pre-deployement leave in August.
