1977 Ford Maverick

I'm wanting to install a Mustang 11 front suspension in my maverick so i can have manual rack steering and to get more clearance for headers, and eventualy a big block install. I would like some pointers as i have never attempted this before. I have located a front suspension and manual rack and pinion for 800 bucks, but am a bit apprehensive about the install. Any help would be a great help.

Thanks in advance
Steve

Buy a kit, especially if you're new to fabbing stuff. Steering and brakes is nothing you want to be honing your skills on. Try RCMotorsports, they have one that I've used twice now...

I've done one for a customer in my shop, and I did my '71 Grabber,if you buy a X-member for a '41-'47 Ford, you trim 1/4" off at the front notch and it fits perfectly, and is much cheaper than the one Co. that makes a Maverick specific X-member,you will need to trim the lower lip on the rail off,and get rid of the strut rod brackets,if you want some pics,PM me,Jack
