1978 ford f150 tranny
with a 351 modified.
The tranny refuses to shift into first. Reverse works just fine, and the fluid is clean, and at the correct level. Filter is new. Is there a rebuild kit? What should it cost to get this rebuilt at a shop? Is a rebuild necessary? I cannot find a replacement tranny in this area. I will wait for the fury of wisdom! JonBoy

What tranny is in the '78 f150? I'm absolutely positive I can find you a rebuild kit.
