The 2.3 motors came in Pintos but those werent turboed.
Mustang SVO and some Mustang GTs had the EFI turbo motors, earlier Mustangs came with a turbo & carburetor but they didnt make too much power. I wouldnt waste time on a carbureted version build the EFI one. Your older generation 2.0 engine is common circle track racing so there are parts available but blocks & heads dried up a long time ago. So I would build a 2.3 because parts are more available and they were turboed so you could make a 300 hp combination pretty easily with all factory parts & little ingenuity on your part. You should check out this site theres plenty of guys who could help you out or just read through some posts. And ebay is a good place to find your parts too. http://www.turboford.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php |
