1979 postal jeep tranny chrysler 904?

i just picked up a 79 postal jeep, right hand drive, for $250 today, the jeep has a audi 4cyl overheadcam that runs like a top but the tranny is shot , (automatic) it wont move in any gear, i tried adding fluid but no help.. i looked it up and it says it is a chrystler 904 tranny? or torqueflight.? are these common to replace or rebuild? thanks.
