1979 Trans Am
 

I installed a 455 Pontiac motor in a 1979 Trans Am. We completely rebuilt motor, my problem now is the shaker. The original breather is too tall, I put a after market breather that is about 2" tall which is about 1/4 from the hood when shut. I really don't want to change the intake. Does anyone know of kit that would fit over the carb that will allow the shaker to fit. I know by doing this, I would have to put a kit in for the shaker so it could get air. Any suggestion would be appreciated

Shaker bases vary. There are 301, 400 pontiac and 403 Oldsmobile for the 79 T/A. Hopefully you know which one you currently have.
