1979 Trans Am body mounts..help?
Hey, I have a 1979 Trans Am in good shape. I just changed the body mounts and ran into a problem on the left rear(under driver seat) mount. The bolt is just spinning in the undercarriage. I presume the weld keeping the nut(?) mounted between the floor and the crossbeam has broken. Am I going to have to cut into the floorboard to get this out? Is there another way to fix this problem? The original mount that is stuck is in OK shape..will it be a major issue if I just leave it in? Any info on this will be appreciated!
Thanks, Jim |
