1980 Chevy Impala engine block?

Hi, I'm really just trying to find out information for a friend of mine who lives in Denver, CO. He's trying to find out the size engine block for his 1980 Chevy Impala #K0788560. I'm not sure I said this right, but I appreciate the help. He's not very computer literate and I know I could find this out easier than he. I myself do know how to change my own oil, spark plugs and other minor things just by watching others. Hey, if any of you can help, then I can learn something new too. Thanks

I am guessing you are saying he wants to find out the size of the engine. Like is it a 305 cu in or a 350 cu in ??

The number you posted is not a number that will do us anygood. There should be another number on the front pad of the engine on the drivers side. From their you can find out what the engine is.

Oddly enough that number you sent sounds like the VIN. I did a search for it and it comes back to another thread on the forum.
