Its not the wheels...its the puny little 4 cyl. 4 lug rear end that will bust if you stick a 351W in there. Some day.....when you do the conversion install an 8.8 or a 9" posi rear end.

Even the 5 litre Mustangs used the 4 lug 8.8 for years.......Like said, get an 8,8

welL I was looking for the posi now but all of the 8.8 I find have 4 lug I guess the best bet is to do the 5 lug disc conversion.I was gonna throw in the tranny&rear end seeings I have the 200 i6,since they all bolt up I wanna do that&still drive it while the motor is being built.

Look baby girl,I'm 16 allmost 17 a lot of people on here know me&about both of these cars,I asked about the posi for the mustang because I like to learn ahead Of time, the problem with the mustang ended up being the carb needed rebuilt,if I remember you didn't even know a car that is running lean can cause a car to overheat so remember I taught you that cupcake, next thing princess my monte is my fav&a lot of guys on here have helped me with her&the motor was professional built @fessler race engines a local shop, next I hope to do a rear end in that also. Now noone asked for you're two cents do you have a crush on me or something? HAHA what a ******r...&I thought I was the kid!

Cutthroatkid is not sooper...end of story

About the 4 bolt, 5 bolt......Most of the 5 litre cars were 4 bolt.....Finding a 5 bolt setup will be harder and an unnecessary expense.......just get an 8.8 4 bolt rear. JUst my opinion...up to you

5 bolt conversion

5 bolt wheel conversions are easy, Use ranger axle shafts, get the correct,, length.. left and right are different, brakes, early ranger front rotors can be turned down to fit, For bigger brakes use later spindles and lincoln town car brakes on the front. , and rear with an 8.8. SVO used parts fron the parts bins, lots of stuff posted in the late mustand sites on how to do the swaps..
