1980's rear main seal ??

350 sbc 4 bolt main 80-86 BLOCK the rear main or pan gasket is leaking
Is this a 2 piece design or one and can I change it with the pan removed and flex plate in place still in the truck if it is a 2 piece one?
Can I remove the rear bearing cap anf put in a new seal or maybe slide the top part out also and slide in a new top half?

1980's rear main seal ??

yes you can get a eye full ,but yes it can be done .
they sell a tool to fish out the top half of seal put i prefer a butter knife with the end tip ground flat and cutting edge ground down to .
you can bend the knife some to get it to push out the bearing till you can grab it with needle nose pliers .
got any spray adhesive ?
spray gaskets and block to keep cork gasket up in place .
be sure to wipe block of oil with brake cleaner or paint thinner.or
