1981 Corvette / 350(383 stroker) kits

I currently own a 1981 Corvette w/ 95K miles on original factory engine and driveline (except u-joints). I am interested in opinions, concerns, suggestions, etc. concerning the 383 stroker kit for a 350 supplied by summit racing. It is supposed to produce 450hp under normal fuel delivery. If there is a better way, I would appreciate a hint. Also curious about the remainder of the driveline, as I have been told that the factory setup won't be able to handle this type of punishment. Anyway, thanks in advance for any help or suggestions offered.

If you want to stroke it and somewhat defang it of it`s power it`s easier than you think. You could use milder heads, lower the compression ratio, or the biggest influence of all, a mild camshaft and just use the engine for it`s high torque output and have a car that`s a blast to drive. You can purchase kits from other company`s already set up like this, as they know not everybody wants or needs high horsepower numbers. You may want to look into Jegs, Northern auto parts, Maddog racing, Ebay, speedomotive, PAW, there are lots of companies out there that sell stroker kits.
