1981 mustang drag project

i have a few questions about a 302 im buildin for my stang. the block is bored .040 and the rotating assembly is completely balanced. i have a set of 78' 351w heads that i got with only a stock spec rebuild but i wana get em built to handle my edelbrock victor jr. high rise manifold with an rpm range of 3500-8000 topped off with a holley 750cfm double pump carb. any suggestions? also have questions on valve train choice im hopin for atleast 400hp so any help or info will be greatly appreciated thanks! also wonderin what year of 351 cleveland head will bolt onto a 302 if any or will they only bolt onto a 302 boss block?

My best suggestion? Get a 351 windsor. It will be much easier to get 400 horses out of a 351 than a little 302. If street action is the plan, get rid of the Victor intake and get a dual plane intake with a more realistic RPM band.
If track action is the plan and you want to rev it, I hope your wealthy.
On the street with a 302 and a Victor intake plus a sizeable cam, you`ll need 4.56 gears to make it tame enough for street duty and you won`t like it.

i was plannin on runnin an 8.8 posi with 3:73 gears and a built c4 auto. i want it for street and strip to shut down the chevys and foreigners lol around here neways but i also want it to perform good at the track. im thinkin about runnin nitro too just a spray bar under the carb. like a 50-100 shot maybe. i want to go fast on and off the strip lol i wanta run a msd setup too any suggestions on a good setup u sound like u know what yur talkin about thanks
