1982 700R4 input shaft spline

Trying to order converter for what i believe to be an 1982 700R4...I am trying to figure the spline? I read it may be a 27 spline..anyone know for sure?

A 1982 700 trans would have a 27 spline input shaft. Unless it was updated to the later 30 spline shaft. The update requires many parts to be changed

I would suggest counting the splines on the input shaft

V8 had 27 spline original with a polished tip. Many were updated to 30 splines.

L4 & V6 had NO polished tip. Think they were all 27 splines.
