1983 monte carlo body question

Ok I have a 1983 monte carlo ls&I'm thinking about taking all of the chrome off that's @ the bottome of the car the runs length wise&also over the wheels so it will kind of be like the ss.I do not want to make this into a clone I actually like the ls front end better than the ls.I'm wondering if I remove all of the chrome what wlse body work wise will I have to do to it?

Along the bottom there will be lots of little pins that were used to hold the trim clips on. you might want to shave those. You'll also have the odd hole that can be welded up.

When we painted my 81 Monte LS, it looked weird without the lower trim. I would leave it on if i were you, maybe paint the chrome body color if you don't like chrome.
