1983 s10 2.8 4 pd

hi guys, i'v got a 83 s10 with a 2.8 6 cyl. 4 spd. the body and frame are falling apart and rust beyond trying to fix . but the motor and 4spd run pretty good. my question is should i pull the motor and trans and give the rust bucket away, or just give it away all together? it runs good but there's alway's something going bad or rusting out , i don't need the truck, and it has become an eye sore. is the motor or trans worth keeping??? thanks jeff

No, there's nothing special enough about that stuff to keep it. I had some old S10 stuff like that and ended up giving it to the local high school autoshop. They like to get stuff the kids can tear apart and rebuild. You might check with your local autoshop teacher to see if he's interested.
