You will need to provide information about your desired vehicle use:

Stock or modified engine?
Everyday driver?
Off road?
Town and country driving?
All city driving?
Etc.?

I think most of the standard equipment K-10's came with a 3:42 open rear end.

My 85 has 28" tires a 3.73 gear and lockup TH350 with the B+M TCC switch. 65 mph is 2800rpm, not a speeder so its okay. There is gear whine at speed throttling down.

That's too much compression for a RV Cam.

Detonation, Big tires, heavy Truck, low reato gears will all make it worse.
