Need to know what axle to put on car

I got a 1985 camaro i'm restoring im putting a 350ci/350 Hp @ 5000 rpm 390 ft/lbs @ 3800 rpm
I'm putting sub frame connectors on, due to the fact that it is a unibody(plan to put a lot of hp), , with a turbo 350 trans, but i don't know what kind of axle to put on it

You don't have many choices. The camaro axle is comletely unique with its torque arm design so no other axles will be a "bolt in". There are specific cast bosses on the camaro axle that are difficult to duplicate on other axles. Companies like Moser and Strange offer complete bolt-in 9" fords, and some companies offer a bracket that bolts on to the pinion support (for axles that come with one.) that allow you to use your torque arm.

So, your options are basically to keep the 7.5" axle (that will last about a week ), bolt in a complete rear subframe that will allow for some kind of trailing arm suspension, or modify a 9", 12-bolt, or other axle to fit.

Have you checked out Thirdgen.org, to see if there is any info on their site about upgrading the axle.

Even if you were to "upgrade" to the 9-bolt 7-inch, you aren't getting much more strength, and you are asking for an axle that's much harder to find parts for, and not really any stronger.
