My Jimmy started jumping into netural yesterday when i was driving , I pulled over and tried again it went for a little then slipped again. I was told it possibly could be my ring gear, any susgestions out there.

I highly doubt your axle gears are the problem.

If it's an automatic:
I would recommend first looking at worn parts in the shift mechanism.

If it's a manual:
You have worn gears and possibly broken parts, either way it's rebuild time.

If you mean the ring gear on the flex plate. No that wouldn't be the problem.
Is there enough fluid in the transmission?
Has the transmission ever been serviced?
