ok i know this isn't a hotrod but i hope you guys can answer my question anyway.i have a 1985 southwind motorhome with a chevy 454 on what i believe is a c-30 frame the motorhome is 32 feet-long heres my problem i am having a charging problem for the engine battery its not charging! i checked the alternator and its putting out 14.5 volts on the bench tester at kragen i replaced the regulator and i found i am not getting any juice from the key switch to the regulator does anyone know how i can test the in dash key switch to see if its no good? according to what little info i can get the wire from the regulator is brown thats according to lestek the manufactures the charging system for the motor home does anyone have a wiring diagram for the ignition/charging system for a 1985 c-30 forward control chassis? i am at my wits end but i don't want to waste money on replacing parts that don't need to be replaced if you need more info please email me at *********** thanks guys

You could try a Hanes repair manual they have weiring diagrams at the back of the book.

if its really a forward control and is 1 ton weight rating then it would be a P-30

C is conventional cab models, IE pickups for example

a P30 was usually a common ordinary 1 ton step van though.

and then there were some other and rare models such as cowl windshield that some buses and other thins were built from

i dont remember the model code of the cowl windshield models
