i need ideas on what colors i should put on my 1985 Pontiac Trans Am......anyone have thoughts?

You are going to open yourself to jokers with a question like that.

What are you trying to do? What color is the interior?

Seeing as how you have a Firebird, metallics always looked good on that car.

But since I am in a jokey mood, I'll go with Hot Neon Yellow, Grabber Orange Flames pinstriped in fuschia. And instead of the big GM Firebird T/A graphic, use the Big Chicken from Family Guy on the hood.

HOK has some really good looking blues and reds in their Shimirin2 line up. If you're partial to greens and golds they might have something there too.
