1986 dodge 4x4
i have a 1986 dodge w150. with a 318 engine. i just tuned it up tonight because its been having some problems. it has a 2 barrel holley carb, original. every thing is original actually. the problem is when i go at highway speeds it bogs down till i hit a bump. then it powers up and runs great till it hits another bump. i was thinking it could be the carb float sticking. but there is also a loud ticking coming from the passenger side cylinders, like it had a sticky valve or lifter. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Sounds like the plug wires are cross-arcing. Separate the wires further and see if that changes anything but first check to make sure they're all snapped on the plugs good.
