1986 GM CC Carburator replacement suggestions

I have a 1986 K-5 Blazer, The last of the real Blazers, and it has the Rochester E4ME Computer Command Carburation on it. The smog laws are pretty lax here, any suggestions on what to replace it with aftermarket wise? It seams that all I see for carburators when I get to the bottom of any information is "Not for use with CC systems". Thanks

carburetors

I recommend an edelbrock performer series carburetor. I had the same ****ty rochester on my 87 camaro and i tore it out and threw in an edelbrock.. huge difference. It didn't even matter about all that electrical bull ****. my car runs much better on the edelbrock

I believe you have a spread bore on that model.

I don't like spread bores. I would change to a square bore Edelbrock Performer intake and buy a Holley double pumper.

re: 1986 GM CC Carburator replacement suggestions

Thanks, I will consider the edelbrock, I wont consider the Holly due to the problems I had in the past off the Road and them flooding out. Nothing worse than being at a 45 degree angle, and the have the engine die cause you hit a bump. As for the Computer Control on it, yes it does matter on this one. Thanks again....
