1987 chevy blazer full size 4x4 straight gear lube ?

yoh guys, i have a 1987 chevy blazer full size 4x4 350 auto. gasket shot on rear end. what kinda gear lube do i fill it with ???? thanks oldfart

80W90 in straight dino oil.. some will say 75W90 in Synthetic or semisyn and it's easier to find in synthetic so that might jive. I personally just stick with Dino grade Rotella 80W90 in my K1500 w/ 14 bolt. and I use RTV for the gasket

Funny, My 14 bolt 1 ton rear uses LS oil.

1 ton is a 10.5" full floater 14 bolt. Not sure if it makes a diffrence.. My '95 is spec'd for 80W90 even with the F44 option 14 bolt ( which is a 9.5" semi floater 14 bolt )... the GM fluid is just full synthetic 75W90 which the newer trucks are spec'd for
