If my crappy memory serves; I think that motor came from Mitsubishi. That should extend the area of your search for candidate replacements.

The engine used in the PaceCar Replica's was the same motor offered in the Dodge Daytona Turbo. It is a 2.2 litre 4 cyl(Chrysler Motor) rated at 147HP.
The biggest issue with finding a replacement will be finding a good head, as they were quite prone to cracking and dropping valve seats. If you have the original motor and its not scrap, I would rebuild what you have vs. buying a salvage yard engine of unknown quality and history.

If you don't mind paying for shipping my buddy has a very nice 2.5L chrysler (it'll bolt right in) with a ported head intake, good machine work, cam, etc. that he's almost giving away. $750 and it only has like 3 thousand miles.
