1987 Toyota 4Runner Rear Window Problem

Hey guys, I know my daily driver isn't really a hot rod, but this is the only place I know for help, google is useless. My rear window is stuck down in my 87 toyota 4runner sr5 22re (sucks becuase it's cold and rainy), and I'm not getting any power to the rear of the truck. I located the problem to when somebody (not mentioning any names) was drilling a hole for push pin hood latches, and about two inches in from the drivers side headlight, they pierced this REALLY thick white 12v + wire, which shorted out. From the looks of it, all the fusible links are totally fine, and the fuses on the fuse block in the drivers kick panel are fine, and the interior console switches are fine. I've been told there is a relay, but have yet to find it. Dad and I taped up the wire, as it only nicked it, but obviously something (fuse or breaker or fusible link, etc) has been blown. Anybody out there with 1st generation 4Runner experience? And say I did trip a "breaker", would it re trip itself back to the ON position? If not, how could I do that? Again sorry for asking about some import on a hot rod site, I just know you guys have a LOT of knowledge. Thank you,

if i remember right, its either under the panel for the switch in the console, or on the drivers side of the vehicle behind the interior trim panel.
also, if the rear wiper is not in the full return location, it will inhibit the window. gl

Rear window....

HI,find the wires at the rear window,run a pos and a neg directly from the battery to the wiring,after the window goes up,disconnect the wiring,until you can find the source of the trouble.at least the window will be up.

There is also a fuse box under the hood. I would check there for a blown fuse as well

Thanks boys. The top is off again today because i'm picking up an engine and trans for this muscle car I'm restoring, but I will definately check more into this when I get home. The tail gate is closed, so I will try to bypass the tailgate switch, and look into the "topper switch" (where is that?) and thge relay. Thanks again, I'm sure you'll hear from me in a bit,
