i have a 1988 blazer and i want to put a 327 in it because the old engine threw a rod(yes it was a 2.8). my friend came across a 327 and is going to sell it to me for 400 dollers. i wanted to get some feed back from more experienced people on if this a good idea or if it is more trouble than its worth.

Thanks, will

I just did this on a 85 S-10 4x4 truck. There are a lot of variables, like is it an auto or stick, does it have a body lift ( this makes the job much easier) do you want to keep the air? Is this a stock motor? How much experience do you have? I'll be glad to answer any questions I can. The motor mounts and oil pan are expensive on a 4x4. I bought a lot of my parts on ebay and saved $$$.
