1988 Dodge ram 318 fuel injection to carb converstion

I'm in process of tossing my fuel injection. My 1988 318 block is roller cam am ordering a HEI distribitor with built in brain.Air gap 4bl intake.500cfm carter carb.A fuel pressure reg.Staying with FI fuel pump am wireing fuel pump into oil pressure sw.for safety automatic on-off.Im also porting polishing my 302 swirl port heads.Using my 318 exhaust manifold. My question is what CFM carb should I get?And should I get a RV roller cam and what lift? This is my work truck but want dependable daily driver with more mpg and horsepower not a hotrod.Any help appreciated !

Carb

I was asking should I buy a 500 CFM or larger? Also I would like to replace my OEM roller cam for a RV style roller cam.If there is such a RV roller cam. Most roller cams seem extreme requiring spring change ect.

I have had two of these engines although they were 360's.The best cam for them is the Comp HR264-12.It has 210/220 duration and .480/.480 lift on a 112 lsa. These things pull like a freight train!!

600 will be fine.Engines only use what they need that is why Qjets were 750-800 cfm even on 305's.I would put an Edelbrock 1406 on it and call it done.
