1990 700r Tran floor shift

Can someone tell me where the safety neutral switch is supposed to be located. I purchased a custom hot rod and this switch either has been removed or not working.
Thanks

Some switches are on the shifter, some on the transmission..

do you know the brand of floor shifter the car has?

Aftermarket shifter or OEM shift adapted to the car?

Yes, It is a home-made shifter. ????????
If the switch is on the trans I assume it would be visible. The trans is out of a 1990 Silverado SS 454.
Sorry, but this is all additional info I have.
