Cost of Chevy Sport Truck.

Hi, well I just bought mine, it's a '91 with 176k, few minor dents, little rust on one side, paid $5750 CDN. So, that should give you a good idea what it's worth. Can you send me a couple pictures of your truck to bigchevfan@hotmail.com, I really enjoy looking at those trucks, and comparing mine to it. Thanks.

Wow.... I didnt think I could get that much. I guess I have to find the right buyer.

I am going to put it up for sale after a basic tune-up. It was in storage for a little while.

It has either 2 or 4 new tires, new suspension, tune-up, 130K, battery, some other things done to it. No rust.... It has a roll pan (faded paint), has a tonnou cover (cant spell it), Just has a scratch along the bed--like it was keyed.

I want to get $4,000 US for it. Do you think I can? I will post pics when I get them and list it here.

Wonder if ebay is the best?

Chevy Sport

Hi, Well, mine came with over a $1000 dollar sterero, and 4 new tires, plus 2 rims, that match original rims. So, I guess, if you put it all in prespective. You can ask, $5000 no problem, because mine has a little rust, and your sounds like a little better shape, you can get 5 grand no problem.

hey dude ....just want to clear up some stuff (*%&*#) i read about 454's 350's 4.3's bla bla bla....... iown a 1990 350 sport version of the short box truck .. been in static since they came out in 1990 . got mine almost 14 yars to the day of trying to make a purchase in 1990.... got this one and ran the numbers with gm canada in oshawa .. i worked for gm .... heres the confusion settler..... i have a red one and they only made red , white, and black versions of these trucks (yes same as the 454's) they did put 4.3 6cyl, 305 , and 350's in them only. the 350 is a high perfomance engine... mine is only 1 of 352 that came to canada,, yes i will be restoring it when i can do it correctly..... mine is a column shift with a kit (all original and factory . when i got mine it still had the back brake stops on the rear lugs (a factory provision..... they came with bench seat with fold down arm rest . in my oppinion a high performance 350 ..... (i have done my research) hope this helps. there is a g m phone desk that if you pay $ you can run your sin like i did but they will tell you they made 233000 odd short boxes for that year then you say b y p pkg , then you say exterior color , then you say interior color , this would narrow it down like it did for me because b y p is your sport pkg option # .......... this should clear some(*&^%$^&*) up.............. good luck

1990 chevy 350 ss

hey all...i know this thread is old,but just want to shed some insight here. I own a 1991 chevy sport, yes it's original, yes it's a 454 ss twin...350 small block being the only difference between the 2 trucks.a true "chevy sport" also has the bucket seat/console interior,as well as the full gauge package, the sway bars are also the same ones as used on the 454ss...and the air dam with fog lights.3:73 rear diff, the 4:10 ratio was availabe in the 454ss in 1992.1990 they went to the 700-r4 automatic from the TH-400 previously used. the "GT" was offered in the same styling package, but was also offered with th 4.3 v-6.

actualley, chevy made a 350SS, but they are SUPER rare, like 10 of them at the most. i think, they are the same as a 454SS right down to the 14-bolt.

Engine is nothing special though.

The TBI injection is a good year round runner, but if you want more power you should convert it over to a carb. You can improve on that engine by doing basic upgrades such as a edelbrock intake, get rid of the air filter box, change the exhaust, tbi spacer, and a stage 1 or 2 performance chip. I have one and I enjoy it, I wish it was faster, but thats down the road. If you have any questions feel free to ask I will do my best to help.
they came with 350's as well

there is alot more differences, i doubt yours has a 14-bolt rear, and 454SS only came with TH400 or 4L80E, no other 1/2ton had a 4L80E

350 SS is a myth that they were produced. Some dealers re badged 350 Sport trucks with 350 SS badges which are/ were available.. as far as being legit from GM, there is no RPO code for the 350 SS. But the Sport was basically the same as the 454 SS anyway, minus the 454/TH400 and in some cases, the 14 bolt.. Sports were offered with the 454/TH400 but most did not get it..

The 350 in the Sport was the same 350 that came in most all the 1/2 tons. heavy duty/ F44 trucks and up got the lower compression engine but there only rated at a 10 hp diffrence I think
