1990 dodge ram

hi all

help please, i got the specs. on the Accel super stock coil. I know that it is not the best of makes . But I have the coil ordered and I might as well use it if possible. The coil is an oil filled model that kicks out 42,000 v. and the stock one that is in it is 28,000 v. what i was wondering is what kind of wires should I buy to match the Accel coil and the new stock copper core plugs as already recommended? also i was reading about some models of vehicles needing a resistor , does mine ? which is a 1990 dodge ram d150 v6 3.9l and it is not the Magnum v6. thanks

Doc here,

You need to upgrade the Stock wires to an 8.5 mm spiral core wire, The Stock wires won't contain the high tension spark (for very long, if at all) From Crossfires at 40 kilo~Volts.

You need to refer to your ignition installation instructions for the resistor, SOME do require it , SOME do not, to keep the module from blowing out..If that info is not in the instructions, Go to Accel's website and ask Tech support.

Also, RE~Gap your plugs for between 40 and 45 thousands for better performance.

Doc here,

Your choice, ANY are an improvement over stock..MSD makes some middle of the road sets..($$ Vs Quality).
