1991 chevy silverado question

How much transmission fluid does a 1991 chevy silverado 5 speed manual transmission take? And what type is the best? Thanks!

It has to be syncromesh transmission fluid. GM or Mopar brand will work, along with any aftermarket brand I dont know how much the old Getrag takes tho. my manuals arnt with me ATM.

Advance auto parts should be able to tell you any fluid capacities that you need. They have helped me on an '86 3500, so I feel they ought to be able to help you with your question.

Thank you very much! I did call and was told that there is a fill hole on the older silverados, and when it starts to pour out, it's full Lol. That works!
