1992 I- Beam

I found a frontend from a 1992 chevy. Didnt think they made these anymore. well was wandering if i could just put this front end in my 32 chevy. What would the complications be? To heavy any one have an idea of weight.

Thats Interesting doesnt really look likethe hevy duty I-beamslike you seeon service trucks I wonder if the truck had been a 4x4 and someone converted it over....do you have the vin?

its off of a 2500 chevy. I don't have the vin. The guy is selling the truck for 1000 with no tranny and engine. You guys don't think this is stock?

That front end will be too wide and too heavy to use on your 31, imho........also since that is a 3?4 ton PU axle it should have 8 lugs on the hubs....you definately would not want that on the front of a hot rod.

makes sense. How about with a 57 chevy truck front end???

Probably too wide. You can get a dropped axle for it from Speedway and you can either set it up with Ford or Chevy disc brakes. That is what I did on my 31. Check it out. www.speedwaymotors.com

dropped axle - how much do they lower the car. How com i don't see standard axles around.
