1993 700R4 confusion

I have bought a 700R4 for my 1960 chevy picky I am restoring and the transmission I have came from a 1993 corvette. The problem I have is I am unsure if it is electronic or non electronic. it has the 5 pin plug on the left side and I do know that they were non electronic for that year. The transfer case doesnt have an engraving for it on the right side but a sticker on the top left side above the torque converter. This sticker says 3YDM which is for the 1993 per the codes for transmissions. it has what appears to be a VSS on the tail section. Having this connection there puzzles me. So I guess my question is is this electronic or non electronic? If it is electronic how can I get around buying a computer system?

1993 F body cars and the vette had a non electronic 4L60 trans..

the round 5 pin connector on the driver's side of trans can replaced with a 4 pin square connector or a spade single connector like most of the t-400 trans used.

On this round 5 pin connector there is a locating tab that positions the conector in the case. The pin hole that is in front of the locating tab is for 12 volts... the pin behind that tab is for a ground. That may provide converter clutch lockup

You can not get around use of a computer on the electronic 4L60E type of trans if you want automatic shifts... the 4L60E type of trans has a round connector on the passenger side about 1.25 inches in diameter with 10 - 12 pins inside it.

On the tail in it has what appears to be a VSS but it also has a tv cable on the right side near the torque converter. Do I need to connect up the VSS or can I just use the TV cable for the speedometer?

TV cable has nothing to do with the speedo.
It controls the tranny shift points.

Here's a good site showing different speedo and vss stuff.Jags That Run
