1995 Impala Rebuilt Transmission Shift & Noise Problem

Hello, I am new to the forum and looking for some feed back and help regarding my 1995 Impala with a shifting problem. My car has roughly 194,000 miles and sun shell failure led me to search for a transmission. I located one in Fairfield California (Master Transmission & Clutch) and purchased a rebuilt 4L60e transmission. I had removed and replaced it and once all parts were installed and fluids, my test drove confirmed 2 problems. One being a ticking noise heard between transmission and engine and on the freeway transmission does not kick into 4th gear. I had removed my torques converter cover to inspect for any moving parts hitting each other or on cover itself or flywheel teeth meshed, but all checked out good. In the morning the ticking noise is quiet but as the car warms up gets slightly louder (not a rod knock type noise) and is most noticable in park. I called the transmission people that I had bought the transmission from and he has asked me to try shifting it manually which I will do on the way home from work. I also had called a local Impala/Caprice repair guy and he told me to make sure the correct transmission is in vehicle which checked out to be the same when old and new transmission were placed side by side. I am hoping for some kind of guidance from yourselves that may help in my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I suggest you make the company warranty the transmission.

A ticking noise can be from anything moving when the engine is running... try to isolate the noise if you can . A cracked flywheel can cause a ticking noise you describe.

No 4th gear (over drive) can be several problems from an incorrect pan gasket that covers the relief hole in the pan rail for the 2-4 servo ,

incorrectly installed 2-4 servo

band pin not set correctly

accumulator leakage not allowing 4th gear to pressurize properly.
