1999 chevy silverado

ok im selling my 70 chevy because it needs to much work. my dad gave me a 1999 chevy silverado 2wheel drive. it has the 4.8,4l60e,10bolt posi rear end how long will this old up during every day driving. but since i got it i have messed something up when i put my radio in it. the speedo,tach,fuel gauge and the temp gauge quit working any idears would help ouyt a lot thanks zach

I would check the fuses first thing if you have not already.

factory radio is wired into the computer... there is somthing you can do to use an aftermarket stereo but IDK what it is, never had to deal with the issue.

Doc here,

Check the Fuses Marked "RDO", "INSTR" and all other fuses..you probably miswired something and popped it..

Check for good , properly bonded HARD body ground..

BE SURE it does not have a remote audio amp..

Get a Harness(Plug and Play) From Auto zombie for $16 Fazools..

got it fixed. how do u guys think it the drivetrain will hold up with 16 yearold kid (me)

it has 170,000 miles and it went though my brother .we did dounuts every night in it. i want be like that. i will do some donuts and burnouts but not every night
