pinto info
Most guys on this site run Chevy V 8 engines, I was an engineer at Ford during the pinto years, The factory calibrations were done to pass emission rules. , a new car dealer in So cal made a lot of changes to their new pintos to get better drivability , and fuel economy and they passed emission rules.AThe factory was soon doing their settings. You might find better info on a site that specializes in small ford products, do a search for ( pinto Forum ) and will get a few to check out
