2,000 Dollar Engine

What kind of engine can I build with $2,000? How much horsepower is your estimate? Keep in mind I already have a the block (302), so what add ons that would cost at max $2,000 could I put on it to create the fastest most powerful engine I can.

Is machine work already done on the block? What car is it going in? Is the block the only thing you have?

As long as you do the assembly yourself, $2k could take you quite a ways depending upon what parts you need to buy.
