I had asked in another thread an did not receive a reply so I will try again. Are the 135 degree dump rams horns available in 2 1/2 inch discharge. I have a pair of 2" dump 135 degree dump and I understand that the straight dump ramshorns were on some corvettes in the 2 1/2 inch discharge. Anyone know!
I know they had 2 and a half inch rams horns, but can't remember if they were straight or angled (see age above). Not too long ago, you could still get them from the Chevy dealers (not cheaply, but you could get them). Not all the info you wanted, but a little bit.
I can't answer your question but in a flyer I just received from Speedway they have 2 1/2'' straight dump ramshorns with generator bracket for $60 each. At that price they must be made in China but Speedway usually stands behind their stuff. Dave 39
The straight dump rams horns are also available as a standard replacement part from Dorman. I think you can get them at any PartsAmerica.
Some GM dealers also still sell them (Gilbert Chevrolet used to sell them over the web), but I think they are old stock.
Thanks for the reply. I thought that the 2 1/2" were all straight dumps. I need the angle dump to clear the Jaguar IFS rack and pinion on my 49 F-1. I currently have the 2 " angle dump fitted up but would go out in search of a 2 1/2" angle dump if such a manifold existed.
Port the ones you have, they usually have plenty of meat in them to port. A carbide cutter does the trick nicely.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
