2 barrel adapter to 1 barrel intake?

i have seen 2 barrel adapters that fit a 1 barrel intake i would like to put one on my 300-6 has any body done this? how well did it work? is there an adapter that will be a direct fit for motorcraft 2 barrel off a 73 ford 360

I used an adapter to put a Carter 2-bbl from a mid-60's Dodge 273 V-8 onto a '69 Nova 230 I-6 intake back around 1971 or so. It ran fine, and might have made a small increase in power, but not much. It did have the factory stock exhaust on it, so it might have done better with less restriction on the outgoing side. I swapped in a 283 w/4bbl and twice-pipes, and that worked much better.

fordsix.comhas the answer for you. I did this to a 200 with the h/w 5200 carb and got better gas mileage ,along with better driveability.

fordsix.com has the answer for you. I did this to a 200 with the h/w 5200 carb and got better gas mileage ,along with better driveability.

I also run an adapter for the 2bbl holley 2300 on my 200 I6. and it does not take too much vac away. runs 16hg at idle with a pretty hot cam
