Well it happened again today!!! I took my stepdad for a ride in my cutlass, let it warm up backed out the drive. roasted tires, drove about 1/8 mile and turned on the hwy, I was drivin allong about 30, and he said "hammer it, I wanna see what she's got". Low and behold It took off like a bat outta hell, then cam some really loud rattleing that wouldnt go awat. Go it home and found a broken rockerarm... Yippee

Engine ID SBC 400 303817casting
T6 on the other side of the pad where the bellhousing bolts to
stamped pad on deck reads 2 different # sets
1). 151141895
2). T1114CTY
JUst like to know what year this engine is and what she came out of??? Also the pistons have #'s on them. some say 8, 8, 11, 10, 10, 11.... What do these meane??

The piston #'s are factory assembly line #'s, if you look on the bottom on the oil pan rail you should see the same corresponding #'s.
