2 out of 5 ain't bad....right?

I just had the ride of a lifetime, I found out my little signiture under my screen name "addicted to danger" really does describe me.
I was on my way to work tonight, and on the way there I got stuck behind an old lady who decided to hit her brakes every few seconds. I quickly found out, my brakes on the Vette decided that today would be the perfect time to crap out on me!! Somehow my brakes lost pressure, and won't completly stop, but thank god for the hand brake!

After work, I went outside to get in the vette to come home, only to find out that we FINALLY got rain.....on the same night my brakes crapped out!!!
Some of ya'll may also rememeber a few months ago when I first got my Vette that I had a stripped gear in my headlights? Well its stripped itself again

So, I had a hell of a time going down the busiest street in Wichita falls, with brakes that barely worked, one working headlight, and in one of the WORST cars to drive in the rain!! As if a Corvette wasn't bad enough to drive in the rain with!

So now out of the 5 vehicles we have at my house, only 2 of them are safe to drive! The General (my truck) is down for a new engine, The Vette is down for bad brakes, and The Tank (dads truck) is down for bad brakes to (see a pattern yet?).

Funny thing is, now all we have to drive is my sister's explorer and my mom's van. My mom doesn't want me to drive either of them because she thinks Ill go drag race in them!! Who really tries to race anyone in a minivan??
Now I really miss driving the general, that truck never had a problem with gears in the headlights!
So, how's everyone's weekend goin so far?

Brad

Brakes? Oh, that pedal on the left. I never use them. Might cause a wreck you know....

BTW Weimer, his mom doesn't want him driving the van because she already has a 23 win-0 loss record with it and doesn't want him to ruin that. LOL!

Brad, 2 out of 5 ain't bad at all. About 10 -11 years ago, my dad had to borrow my car after I got done with work (11 to 7) so he could go to work (7:30 to 6:00). It was 22 miles home for me, and 15 back for him. I learned steady, fast driving for almost a week. Hwy 27 still isn't back to normal!

In a while, Chet.

Sounds like it's time someone took a PM (Preventative Maintenance) course.

Preventive maintenence? Whats' that?
jk my dad doesn't do that sometimes, I told him awhile back that his brakes were on the way out. He didn't check them or nothing until he got back from a round trip of about 1500 miles! That was the last time that truck has been driven since last weekend.
The vette just went, with no other signs. It just started losing pressure. I haven't had the chance to check them, other than just a few quick looks. No fluid leaks and plenty of brake fluid, and never heard any squelling or anything else.
Oh yeah who wants to play a game?
See if you can count all the broken boats and cars in my driveway!

That sucks dude...but you knew that was coming anyways didnt you? You know the Explorer probably has a governor...and your sister probably goes to bed earlier than you do...and you probably know where the keys to her car are...and you probably know how to take that governor off...

Thats what Im thinking, I just got off of work and I won't have a chance to touch it til monday.
And now I am allowed to drive my mom's van, only because the explorer is insured because my parents bought it for her last month, and she's never even touched the ignition switch to a car....EVER!!!

All I can say is, its getting REAL tempting to take the engine out of the Vette and stick it in my truck just so I have something to drive!

Nice man, I've had the brakes in the Caprice go out twice.

I think I got you beat on the "addicted to danger" stuff for this week. Thursday night I went out partying at West Chester Univ. which is asking for a underage. Friday night me and my bud took his stage 3 SRT-4 out street cleaning, after cleaning about 8 places we were chased by police. Tonight we went bar hoping, and was the d.d.d.

Just remember its not street racing its an exhibition of power and acceleration within the constraints of the law to your knowledge.
