Nothing wrong with them, they are used in drag racing all the time when 2 gears are needed....On the street though, a 3 speed or 3 speed with OD is preferable.

what should i do

I want to use it for regular street riding should i change it. i think it was set up for circle track racing because there was alot of shims in the front end and it made it tweak.

glides are awesome racing transmissions, especially in lite cars. but for the street i would recommend a 3 speed

Ir the car is your everyday driver, the powerglide will be fine. ....A 3 speed has more bottom end takeoff, but nothing wrong with your 2 speed.....there were millions of cars with them over the years.

EEhh ! His loss!
It wont hurt nothing for now
I had a 68 Impala custom with a 250 1 bbl & 2 speed power glide got good gas mileage & went pretty Good
I love the part of 0 to 60 in first gear & 60 to 120 in second!

but I was always looking for 3rd

I finally got a 3rd gear when I got my 71 LeMans
