glide converter 411

i know this is an old thread; but i could really use some 411.

i'm having the same issue chewsky had with his p-glide; so here is my question.

how do you identify the difference between a glide and a th350 - 400 torque converter?

The input shaft splines in the converter are different between a glide and a 350-400....the glide is a course 17 spline,whereas the 350-400 has a fine spline input.

Also there are 30 spline input shafts made for the Powerglide, the TC has to match the input in any event.
