Wow great article. I really want to do a trans brake. Im thinking at this point I would prefer to do the electric one. Its a lot more expensive but i don't want to lose my 1-2 upshift. I am swapping in a 8.5" rear end this winter and also plan on doing a better driveshaft.

Did you find an 8.5" yet?
Deal here >> 8.5 10 bolt out of g/n. New 4:10s, eaton posi, new axle bearings and a aluminum diff cover. Pickup only. Charleston wv. $800 it's on the MonteCarloSS.com site.

haha i don't have the money yet but i started a thread about a month ago asking if my ring and pinion were ok and someone posted that same rearend on that thread.
