I'm just buildilng another one for the fun of it, that is when i noticed a difference in the seperator plate in my parts transmission that i picked up. My first one came out of a 86 monte non-ss with hp 305 motor. I rebuilt with red clutches and bilgger valves. 10 vane relieved hardened pump. I upped the clutch count in forward, direct, overrun and fourth clutch pacts. also put in wider band. Put this in my 1977 concours nova hatchback. I have just loved it. It has worked just great with my 3.73 gears with 26inch tall tires. I had so much fun building the tranny that I bought one more 86 monte to rebuild for a extra. But i got this one that is a 200 4r but its got a different seperator plate. It looks just like the rest of them, but the one hole is just off a little. Just thought someone might know why???? Oh,forgot to mention that im put a shift kit in it with the bigger servo.
