200-4r tranny wont go in reverse
hey guys. it's been awhile since i've posted here. but iam having a problem with the tranny in my cutlass. it doesnt engage reverse. but put it in drive and it's fine. hits all gears. the car has sat for a long time and was just moved around the yard from time to time. what could it possibly be? the tranny is a 2004r.

since you indicate the trasn has 3rd gear, I would say the low-reverse clutch pack is not operating

so does it just need to be rebuilt, or can it be fixed as is?
