200-4r trans question

me and a buddy put a olds 350 and a 200-4r in my 79 malibu i noticed the trans had an electical plug or some kind of wires plugged in it on the side
of the trans whats it for does anybody know that might help me

Those wires are for the lockup converter, and you need to hook it up.

You can get the pigtail from GM to hook up to the case, several ways to make it work but I use a normally open pressure switch in the 4th gear circuit on the valve body, ground the TCC sol to the switch, and run a 12V IGN supply through a vacuum switch to the trans.

Reduced lube to the trans, burned up transmission.
